Experience:
Served as an Assistant Chief Counsel for the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Advised the department on laws and regulations related to natural resource conservation, including tribal affairs, climate and wildfire resiliency, hunting and fishing regulation, and operation and management of state lands.
Served as an attorney for the Department of Toxic Substances Control, including as an Assistant Chief Counsel for four years. Advised the department, the California Environmental Protection Agency, and the Governor’s Office on laws and regulations related to brownfield remediation, enforcement, and litigation.
Served as Counsel for the law firm of Downey Brand, LLP. Specialized in environmental litigation and regulatory compliance.
Practiced as a litigation attorney with the former law firm of Kimble, MacMichael and Upton, PC, focused on business litigation.
